Ichinoseki's National Craft Beer Festival 2019 August 23th-25th!

Updated: Sep 25, 2020

Cheers! Or 'Kanpai' as we say it here.

Ichinoseki City will be hosting its 22nd National Craft Beer Festival. This beer festival annually pulls in crowds of beer fans from all over Japan and is said to be one of the largest in the nation. All are welcome to enjoy some cold ones (keeping in mind the legal drinking age in Japan is 20) along with some delicious foods made from locally sourced ingredients such as Iwate beef, eggplant, peppers and tomatoes. This year's festival will showcase craft beer from all over Japan, with a range of 200 different beers and 71 companies.

Although the city has made an initiative to further separate garbage on the day, if you’d like a snazzy souvenir and to help out the environment, commemorative glasses can be purchased prior to the event.
